POSITION OVERVIEW
The Technical Sales Executive ("Executive") will identify, develop, and expand relationships with existing and new customers/sales channels by initiating, directing, and supporting any collaborative sales and technical materials in the wide format printing media sector. The Executive will also actively collaborate with the Senior Sales Managers and Sales Representatives of the Company to identify opportunities and support with the relevant expertise for training and marketing so as to play a key role in assisting the Company in creating a sustainable revenue stream in this sector. The role may eventually develop to include other sectors depending on the growth outcomes and other potentially profitable products and sectors.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and develop existing customers in the wide format printing media sector.
- Understand the technical materials of wide format printing to provide solutions for customers not only from printing media but also from printing machines side.
- Identify and develop new product opportunities including analysing industry trends, sales data, work with management to develop the relevant price and profitability strategies to increase overall revenue.
- Develop productive and professional working relationship with suppliers and sales channels to enhance product knowledge and develop relevant marketing strategies.
- Support collaborative sales efforts with the Senior Sales Managers and Sales Representatives with joint visits and/or relevant product training for their existing portfolio of customers.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES
Acquires product and industrial technical knowledge via internal training, achieves assigned product sales quota and growth targets. · Supports initiatives that ensure product profitability. · Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
ORGANISATIONAL ALIGNMENT
Reports to the Divisional Manager, Sign & Display. Responds to the customer support requirements of the sales team as needed. Works closely with Customer Service Officers to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Diploma qualification from a recognised institution of higher learning. Some background or technical knowledge and a record of achievement in account servicing would be a distinct advantage. Basic PC proficiency. Have a keen interest in acquiring industrial technical knowledge, expanding expertise in this area, understanding of market trends, excellent relationship building skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
