Responsibilities:
1. Production Scheduling:
1.1. Creating and maintaining production schedules to ensure that products are manufactured in a timely manner to meet customer demand while minimizing downtime and maximizing resource utilization.
1.2. Working closely with senior management to establish production targets and ensure that they are met efficiently.
1.3. Analysing production data and performance metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
1.4. Adapting to fast changing environments.
2. Resource Management:
2.1. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure that inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules without excess or shortage.
2.2. Allocate resources such as labour, equipment, and materials to various production activities based on priority, capacity, and availability. Balancing workload across different production lines or departments to optimize overall efficiency.
2.3. Analyse production capacity and identify bottlenecks or constraints that may hinder production output. Develop strategies to overcome capacity constraints, such as implementing overtime, subcontracting, or investing in additional equipment.
3. Problem-solving and Decision-making:
3.1. Identifying and resolving production issues, such as equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or scheduling conflicts.
3.2. Making data-driven decisions to optimize production efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce costs.
3.3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Supervision and Leadership:
4.1. Providing leadership and guidance to workshop staff, including Mold fabricators, technicians, and other support personnel.
4.2. Training and mentoring junior staff to develop their skills and capabilities.
4.3. Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and promoting a culture of 6S within the workshop.
5. Continuous Improvement:
5.1. Identify opportunities for productivity improvement and cost reduction within the production process. They implement lean manufacturing principles, such as reducing waste, improving workflow, and standardizing processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
6. Quality Assurance:
6.1. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that production processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Involve in implement quality control measures and conduct audits to identify and rectify any deviations from quality standards.
7. Communication and Coordination:
7.1. Communicating production schedules, priorities, and performance metrics to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
7.2. Collaborating with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and sales, to coordinate workflow and address customer requirements.
7.3. Building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Requirement:
· Diploma or Degree in Business Studies, Logistics, Planning, or equivalent.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Project and SAP is preferred.
· Prior supervisory and planning experience in Precision Machining, Injection Molding, Mold
Fabrication, or Manufacturing is highly desirable.
· Bilingual proficiency is required for effective communication in this role.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
