This role will reside within the Compliance Transformation Team, joining a team excited to drive change to enhance the AML and regulatory processes across the bank.
Job Description:
- Provide project management and business analysis to the Compliance Transformation team by planning, organizing, and managing projects from end to end.
- Manage and communicate with key stakeholders such as business users and IT teams on project status, key risks, and issues.
- Effectively elicit business and functional requirements and clearly document them within the Jira/Confluence ecosystem.
- Translate business requirements into user stories. Facilitate and participate in Agile sessions, including product grooming, refinement, and prioritization of the product backlog.
- Work closely with the technology team and external vendors (as required) to jointly deliver multiple streams of compliance transformation within scope, timeline, and budget by prioritizing and managing assigned project resources and work processes.
- Perform system/process change impact and gap analysis.
- Drive process re-engineering by defining efficient To-Be processes based on policy and system changes.
- Formulate test plans and test cases, as well as drive UAT execution with the end-users.
- Prepare user training materials and support user training.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience working as a business analyst or project manager.
- Motivated and self-starting individual with a passion for change.
- Strong analytical skills to quickly understand and break down complex issues and problems, leading to sound and rational judgments and solutions.
- Ability to understand and empathize with business needs and work with IT teams to conceptualize human-centric solutions and translate them into functional specifications.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead key stakeholders and ensure the delivery of intended business value to clients.
- Hands-on experience in formulating business requirement documents, process mapping, and user stories, as well as reviewing functional specifications.
- Good understanding of AML compliance in financial institutions is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with project management and Agile methodology, writing user stories, and prioritizing and refining the product backlog.
- Experience working with the following tools: MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Visio, Jira, QlikView, and VBA.
- Certification in Project Management, Scrum Master, or Product Owner is preferred.
- Experience in consulting, process re-engineering, and system implementation or business/risk change management is desirable.
