Hiring: Golf Course Marshal
Job Description :
- Welcome the golfers and provide necessary information to each flight before play
- Monitor golfer etiquette, pace of play
- Manage / Clean/tidy up the tee box area before golfers arrive
- Be aware of the rules of golf to provide information and decisions on the spot and refer to supervisor if needed
- Oversee golfers to make sure their playing from the correct tee boxes to reflect their HCP’s and playing abilities
- Once golfers have teed off the Starter will go the golfing office to make sure billing is done correctly corresponding each golfers name to the tee time and time sheet
- Transport golfers to and from the range if necessary
- Manage and keep record of cross-over timings
- Assist the bag drop area to receive golfers and assist golf bag collection for departing golfers
- Carry out a course inspection at the beginning of each day’s play
- Daily check of driving range operations
- Notify / Warn golfers of bad weather/lightning storm by sounding siren as informed from golf office.
- Supervise golf course signages set up with contractors for Corporate and club events
- Ensure cleanliness and upkeep the condition of the marshal buggy
- Course Inspection with Golf Manager to highlight problem areas
- Report any damage to the course to GCM team
- Handle lost and found items at the golf course
- To carry out any other duty that may be assigned from time to time
- Able to work on weekends and public holidays
Job requirement :
- Previous work experience in the hospitality industry would be an advantage
- Course Marshals are the policing arm of the golf club in relations to infringements and golf course etiquette, operational duties and should be multi skilled as Course Starters, porters, buggy set up, caddy operations and general golf administration matters.
- Marshals should also have a good knowledge of Tournament Operations and the rules and etiquette of the game
- Sound knowledge in golf and if can play golf will be advantage
