The laboratory officer will be involved in an ongoing project on Novel broad spectrum antibacterial peptide gel against chronic wound infections that is supported by commercialization funding.
Job scope
- Perform wet and dry lab experiments using techniques such as Cell culture, Microbiology, Molecular and cellular biology, Microscopy, Image analysis and Protein analysis.
- Handle routine laboratory administration and scheduled duties.
- Executing day-to-day experimentation and maintaining systematic records.
- Offering proficient support in laboratory procedures such as bacterial infection, stem cell culture and harvesting, various biological assays, etc.
- Ensuring the upkeep of reagents, and consumables.
Job requirement
- Diploma in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
- Comprehensive training will be provided.
- Good basic laboratory skills and manual dexterity.
- Meticulous and organized with an ability to multi-task.
- Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Able to work independently and as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior exposure to Microbiology and Stem cell related work would be an advantage.
