Role:
- Oversee daily marine functions of all assigned vessels in close coordination with the fleet team.
- Ensure safety, security, and environmental performance standards are met for assigned vessels.
- Act as CSO and Alt DPA for assigned vessels.
- Prepare assigned ships for PSC/RightShip and customer inspections.
- Ensure all non-conformances, observations, and deficiencies from internal or external inspections/audits are effectively closed out for assigned vessels.
- Monitor vessels through audits, inspections, or routine visits as necessary.
- Assist in incident investigation and root cause analysis, addressing deficiencies, making recommendations, and implementing preventive measures as required by the manager.
- Evaluate operational risks from a marine/navigational perspective for assigned vessels.
- Brief and debrief crew on marine matters for assigned vessels.
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the quality management system and departmental procedures.
- Conduct crew training and familiarization.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in the roles of Master or Chief Officer on Feeder vessels is a prerequisite.
- Preference will be given to those with prior experience as a Marine Super.
- A comprehensive understanding of PMS and SMS systems is a requirement.
