Job description:
- Lead and manage trading activities and operations, have a comprehensive understanding of the nature of bulk commodity trading, including spot, futures, and supply chain trade financing. Possess overall control capabilities of the entire chain of bulk procurement, funding, logistics, and sales services.
- Familiarity with overseas markets, especially the Southeast Asian financial markets, Formulate and implement the commodities trading policy, business plan and budget and achieve the company's annual business target.
- Responsible for organizing and participating in negotiations and contract signings of important or bulk trade-related projects of the company, and organizing and supervising the execution of related business contracts. Bulk trade products mainly include chemical products and non-ferrous metals, with other products as supplements. Trading partners mainly include domestic and foreign central enterprises, state-owned enterprises, large private enterprises, and listed companies;
- Familiar with various financing models and structures, with certain product structure design capabilities. Able to independently complete bulk commodity trade financing work, develop trade financing customer resources, and organize and coordinate business relations with relevant financial institutions to expand business channels;
- Track the market dynamics of the bulk commodity industry chain, actively explore business innovation models combined with resource advantages;
- Keep up to date with developments in the global market and react positively and creatively to international economic and political developments; Identifying and developing business opportunities in which the Group's infrastructure, reputation and financial strength can be used, for example in strategic alliances, investment opportunities, acquisitions and partnerships with producers, processors, and consumers;
- Assist independently or cooperatively in conducting bank credit, factoring facilities and other trade-related financing works. to support the structural financing needs of bulk trade.
Candidate Requirement:
- Qualifications: Candidates should have a degree or above in finance, economics, international economics and trade, or related majors;
- Experience: Candidates should have most of the following:
- A minimum of 8 years of working experience in the Commodities sectors and more related industry resources;
- A good performance record in sourcing, trading and marketing of Metals, and agricultural products in Singapore;
- A sound understanding of the global supply chain and of the consumption of Metals, and agricultural products; knowledge of the major sources of supplies worldwide, commodities grades and specifications, and markets; and also, of the economic dynamics affecting the international movement of commodities.
- A sound understanding of commodities operations includes production and processing methods and procedures, stocking and storage, transportation, port facilities, shipping, and financing methods like L/C, etc.
- Experience of interacting with colleagues at senior management level in an international trading business.
- Have strong compliance awareness, risk awareness, good communication and negotiation skills, leadership skills and teamwork, and have a strong sense of responsibility and capability to work under pressure and be willing to travel if necessary.
