The Role
- Underwriting role with responsibilities involving both Singapore and facultative business from the South-East Asia region.
- Underwriting and managing the Casualty portfolio for both existing and new business
- Develop long term sustainable relationships with our key producers across the territories.
- You will be provided with training on specialty liability classes.
Key responsibiities
- Underwriting Casualty risks
- Adopt digital process to conduct rating, underwriting and issuing quotes
- Develop broker and cedant relationships
- Develop and implement marketing plan
- Meet retention and new business targets
- Participate in relevant professional organizations as a representative of the company
- Mentor Underwriters and Business Support
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Insurance industry experience in underwriting and or broking
- Tertiary education in Insurance or related discipline.
- Ability to combine entrepreneurial, commercial approach with prudent underwriting
- Digitally minded and innovative
- Able to handle or manage a portfolio of business
- Excellent communications skills
