Procurement Engineer (NPI Project)
Work Location: Yishun Industrial Park A [Canberra MRT] / Have company transport
Salary: $4500 - $5500
Working Days: 5 Days // 8am/8.30am - 5.30pm/6pm
Requirements:
- Degree (with relevant experience) in Electronic / Electrical Engineering, preferably with R&D background but not a must.
- Experience from Original Equipment Manufacturer or Contract Manufacturer will be added advantage
- Possess project management experience especially with module experience
- Experience in BOM / Costing / Engineering analysis and supply chain management
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide cost estimation for Mechatronics/ PCBA / Cables/ E&E modules.
- Support R&D in selecting components/ Source include recommendations on potential new technologies for the purpose.
- Monitor procurement processes as well as control of resources and activities in support of quality, cost, and delivery requirements at NPI projects.
- Support product cost optimization at the management of procurement in key areas such as strategies, supplier selections, inquiries, negotiations, and drift cost calculations.
- Coordination between internal and external stakeholders with selected suppliers on necessary technical information, etc drawings, data sheets, STEP files, to ensure the alignment in costing and delivered materials.
- Recommend the promotion of material status from stages of manufacturing freeze until series.
- Organize for design to cost (DTC) or cost reduction processes via structural cost analyses.
- Support Advanced Purchaser/Operative Purchaser in event of escalations during material orders/ deliveries and complex engineering changes. This will include direct supplier coordination/ communications.
- Knowledge transfer to commodity managers of materials from prototype to production stage.
- Execute assignments from the managers
