Regional Customer Manager

We are currently looking for passionate professional to join our Regional Commercial team. Join us and bring your expertise on board!


As a Regional Customer Manager your overall responsibility is to develop identified Global Multinational Customers by expanding Senior- level Global and Regional customer relationships and identifying customer supply chain needs. Working closely with the GMNC country based teams to leverage the power of the DHL Express network to expand market share.


Key tasks include:

  • Develop and grow ~10-20 GMNC/BD customers at regional/global level
  • Coordinate & align activity cross-regionally and across Business Units (BU)
  • Manage sales pipeline and support opportunities for growth and collaboration
  • Support APEC & GMNC sales priorities to develop new business opportunities in unpenetrated business segments
  • Develop new potential industry segments and customers, close engagement with countries to develop new revenue streams
  • Identify, establish and manage multi-tiered relationships across customer and DHL BU to ensure a long-term business partnership and achievement of corporate goals.
  • Build executive relationships within the Industry Customers
  • Lead and manage customer presentations and proposals, ensuring there is a common understanding of service expectations and solutions, both with the customer and DHL BU’s, countries, and regions.
  • Develop and update appropriate regional/country customer/industry strategy in line with global/regional/country business plans, to achieve profitable revenue growth
  • Monitor the customer portfolio performance in close cooperation with the functional support teams
  • Ensure the implementation and integrity of relevant sales Global Sales Processes, CRM tools and pipeline visibility


Requirements:

  • Tertiary education
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a regional commercial environment
  • Minimum 3 years of Consultative Selling experience with relationship mapping at executive levels
  • Excellent numeric, written and oral communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain concepts
  • Strong International sales experience and business development/ account management skills
  • Culturally sensitive, ability to establish collaborative relationships
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to operate and functionally manage people in an informal matrix structure. (Networking, Influencing skills)
  • Able to work independently and within a team to deliver results
  • English and a 2nd language in country of key markets preferred
