Introduction
Design, implement and manage systems and processes for the Finance functions of an organisation in the hospitality industry. The candidate is someone who is talented and outcome driven with a strong presence to provide his/her viewpoint as an SME to other stakeholders. The candidate must be able to work independently, dealing with ambiguity and be organized. The candidate must possess effective interpersonal skills to partner cross functional teams in the organisation to influence, communicate and drive change and value to the business will be critical.
Overview of role
- Lead new business conversation from a technical/process viewpoint on behalf of representing finance users
- Design Finance technical solution that responds to upstream system changes
- Execute and assist testing of the full solution impacting the finance systems
- Assist and resolve problems that affect business operations and find ways to reduce them
- Review and enhance finance systems and processes for different finance functions (specially GL and Tax)
- Evaluate the impact of any changes made upstream on various finance systems/reports, record and collaborate with Technical/business to ensure a smooth implementation
- Review, analyse, and fix software/technical issues and be the liaison between business and technical teams
- Understand the accounting and tax processes in the hospitality domain
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or other related discipline
- More than ten (10) years of experience in managing projects or operations related to finance systems (especially ERP systems) in technology industry, e-commerce
- Experienced business analyst with a proven record of delivering transformational initiatives successfully
- Extensive knowledge of GL/accounting module of finance
- Well experienced in stakeholder management with the ability to think out of the box and make judgement calls
- Strong analytical and problem solving, influencing and change management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, multicultural, and high intensity environment
- Ability to work on projects and initiatives with Product team, Technical team and Business
- Diligent, motivated, willingness to learn to ensure continuous improvements
- Excellent interpersonal, effective communication, organizational and planning skills
- Dependable, proactive and results-oriented with strong business acumen
Advantageous
- Experience working in finance cross-functions (Tax, Finance operations, Treasury, FP&A, etc.)
- Experience in project management using various methodologies (e.g. Agile, SDLC)
- Experience working in data analytics
- Experience working with Oracle Fusion ERP
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tool
