Receptionist

This advertisement is for the recruiting position of Receptionist.

If successfully selected, you will be seconded to a MOE Primary School located in Bartley Road.

Contract Period: From 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025 (exclude December 2024 & June 2025).

Option To Extend: from 1 July 2025 to 31 May 2026 (exclude December 2025).

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

  • Mondays to Fridays: 9:00am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 45 minutes lunch break
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

The Services required are set out as follows:

Reception

  • Handle telephone calls.
  • Manage the counter – attending to all students, parents and walk-in visitors’ queries.
  • Attend to goods delivery on behalf of staff.

General Admin

  • Assist in managing the sick bay by attending to unwell and injured students.
  • Attend to students leaving school early.
  • Handle lost and found money and items.
  • Assist in admin duties such as data entry, faxing etc.
  • Packing and dissemination of brochures, forms and information booklets.
  • To maintain tidiness of the reception area and sick bay.
  • Any other duties assigned when required.

The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

Qualifications:

The Personnel:

  • Shall minimally have GCE ‘O’ level certification or the equivalent of ESS Career Readiness Certificate (Operations).
  • Should preferably have a valid First Aid with Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification as of ITQ closing date. All overseas first-aid license shall be validated by the National Resuscitation and First Aid Council. Applicants shall complete the validation on their own and submit the approval when they bid for jobs in schools.

Experience:

The Personnel:

  • Shall have at least 1 year of relevant work experience in reception work and/or general admin.
  • Must have the knowledge and ability in using basic Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to converse in English and Mandarin due to the school being a Special Assistance Plan (SAP) school.
  • Should preferably have prior relevant experience working in Primary schools.

Skills:

The Personnel should preferably have the followings:

  • Good customer service skills.
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • High level of initiative and is a good team player.
