ASM Talent Acquisition function is focused on the delivery, attraction and hiring of top talent, at all levels, for today and for the future. The ASM Strategy focuses on people, process and technology to gain efficiencies and increase productivity with the outcome of better results for the business, function and candidates.

The team is forward looking, able to understand the changing market and stay ahead of hiring trends

We are looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist reporting to the Head of People, Singapore & Malaysia to be based in Singapore accountable for recruitment delivery across the Singapore & Malaysia and supports the sites on the following


Key Responsibilities for this role:

Go to person for the end to end recruitment lifecycle in Singapore and Malaysia

  • Responsible for end to end recruitment lifecycle for specific BU/SU (including but not limited to – Scheduling & Coordination of interview, Requisitions Opening, Interview Feedback, posting of job advertisement, Work Passes checks and application, etc.)
  • Be the partner for Head of People, SG & MY on all recruitment related matters
  • Be the partner for the Business and Regional People Partners throughout the full recruitment lifecycle
  1. Build talent pipelines needed for business growth, succession planning and replacement hires up to Director level
  2. Conduct in-depth consultation meetings with hiring managers and the People Business Partners in the team to appropriately align candidate sourcing activities with the role requirements
  3. Create unique ways to source candidates directly including the more traditional avenues such as LinkedIn, job boards, internal and external networks with the objective of significantly reducing third party agency spend
  4. Provide counsel on all resourcing related matters to HR, hiring managers and the wider TA team
  5. Support and facilitate the assessment, interviewing and offer process
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert within Singapore & Malaysia People Team on all Talent Acquisition matters by providing the best knowledge, proper external benchmarks, best practices and innovative solutions to support the business
  • Be the representation for SG & MY People team in regional and global projects such as employer branding, Marketing Program Strategy, Campus Strategy, Operational effectiveness programs, etc
  • Drive in partnership with Global TA the Employee Referral, Alumni Network, Inclusion, Diversity program, etc.
  • Actively manage relationships with preferred suppliers and ensure supplier selection meet criteria around diversity and candidate experience in line with ASM global Agency management policy and practices (selection criteria and bi-annual performance evaluation).
  • Use data to provide insight to hiring managers on recruitment activity, candidate experience and the resourcing lifecycle
  • Provide guidance / Be the mentor to other Talent Acquisition Team member (s)
  • Deliver TA results in line with global TA KPIs.
  • Contribute with other TA regional teams as needed and possible

Employer Branding Management

  • Work closely with Head of People, SG & MY on all Singapore, Malaysia’s and COE TA employment branding strategies across all functions
  • Plan, establish and oversee the sitewide social media presence and channels related to recruitment and employer branding
  • Works closely with in-house marketing department to manage and continuously improve SG & MY career website to ensure that it is a creative and effective tool for attracting suitable candidates and enhances employer brand and reputation as an employer of choice.

Marketing Strategy:

  • Develop and drive brand and marketing strategies based on market insights analysis to increase the Singapore and Malaysia’s online presence and awareness within critical labor market segments across integrated channels such as career website, social media
  • Ensure consistency in the usage of the key brand values, attributes and visual identity across all the different touch points of the candidate decision journey
  • Develop creative ways to draw prospective employees to the Singapore and Malaysia’s website and identifying new recruitment opportunities through social media
  • Collaborate with the Global Talent Acquisition to ensure a suitable mix of channels (social media, recruiting events, partnerships) are available to attract the best talent.

Campus Strategy

  • Design and execute best in class campus strategy and branding strategies for the business, and drive events plans, which includes managing intern & graduate recruiting. Local campaigns will be aligned with ASM global Campus framework.
  • Cover end-to-end campus recruiting from managing stakeholder requirements, events planning internship management, etc

Recruitment Event Management

  • Propose and Manage the External and Internal Event Calendar for sitewide recruitment activities
  • Plan and execute the agreed events as aligned with sitewide talent Strategies

You will have extensive experience managing the end to end recruitment lifecycle and be innovative in how you source candidates directly. You will be passionate about providing exceptional hiring manager and candidate experience in all of your interactions.

In addition, you will have experience in understanding and embedding processes and have the ability to work within a matrix organization while adhering to local regulations, policies and nuances


What will it take to be successful?

  • Robust track-record of successful placements across a wide range of international positions at various levels and fields
  • Strong client facing capabilities combining a personable and consultative approach with strong persuasion skills for reasoning and negotiation
  • Proactive and independent worker with excellent organization skills – becoming the only recruiter for the Holding and a few entities.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of developing & methodically executing upon thoughtful project/recruiting strategies
  • Robust talent assessment skills, Hogan certification is an advantage
  • Experience with behavioral based interviewing techniques.
  • Able to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discrete and trustworthy with an impeccable moral code - able to work with sensitive information and confidential vacancies.
  • Continuous improvement mindset able to make a strategic alignment with business priorities and HR agenda, anticipating future hiring needs
  • Intellectually curious and open-minded with a growth mindset
  • Authenticity and transparency
  • At least 10 years of recruiting/talent advisory experience at a fast pace growing high tech company
  • Strong business acumen
  • Labor market expertise with good pipeline management.
  • Providing exceptional employee and candidate experience
  • Strong Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Delivering results and fostering collaboration and teamwork with business partners and team members in a virtual capacity.
